Austin M. DeLano is an experienced attorney specializing in employment, labor, and business law. Mr. DeLano represents businesses, municipalities, and other various private and public employers before state and federal courts. Mr. DeLano counsels and advises his clients on a diverse range of employment and labor matters, including the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and other major laws affecting public and private employers. Mr. DeLano also represents clients in collective bargaining, mediation, arbitration, and litigation. Mr. DeLano grew up in Lansing, Michigan, receiving his juris doctor from Michigan State University College of Law. While in law school, Mr. DeLano worked as a law clerk at the Michigan Department of Attorney General and at a local law firm specializing in labor and employment law. Mr. DeLano also participated in the Trial Practice Institute at Michigan State University College of Law, where he spent two years concentrating on litigation and alternative dispute resolution. In addition to his work at the Loomis Law Firm, Mr. DeLano serves as a reservist in the Michigan Army National Guard JAG Corps, where he advises soldiers and commanders on various areas of military law. His military service has taken him across the United States as well as Europe and Africa for numerous legal training missions. Mr. DeLano is admitted to practice in Michigan, and he currently resides in his hometown of Lansing.
