Michael G. Oliva assists domestic and international corporations with mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, and other complex business transactions.  He has 40 years of experience in administrative and regulatory law before both state and federal agencies and appellate courts, involving gas and electric energy, pipelines, telecommunications and securities.

He has been listed since 2012 in Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Administrative / Regulatory Law and Energy Law, and was selected as the 2019 Lawyer of the Year for Energy Law.  He is also listed as AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell in Administrative Law, Energy Law and Utility Law, and is a Leading Lawyer in Governmental, Municipal, Lobbying and Administrative Law.

Mr. Oliva joined the Loomis Law Firm in 1978 after earning a law degree from the University of Michigan.
