The firm has long been active in condemnation law representing both condemning authorities and landowners. Most recently, the firm has been active in several condemnation projects. Firm attorneys were lead counsel for a multi-state pipeline condemnation project, involving the acquisition of rights-of-way across the excess of 1,000 parcels of land in Michigan.
Several of the firm’s attorneys are experienced in the following various aspects of condemnation law:
- Reviewing title, advising clients as to the identity of owners of property interests to be acquired, overseeing title curative efforts, and advising clients regarding numerous real property and regulatory issues arising during the condemnation process
- Representing clients before governmental bodies and regulatory agencies in condemnation-related proceedings
- Litigating, arbitrating and mediating condemnation cases
- Solving project problems involving all aspects of the condemnation process
